Dena Silver is an experienced mathematics educator and tutor with over a decade of experience helping students strengthen foundational skills and build confidence in math. She holds a Master of Education in Teaching Children Mathematics, a Master of Education in Literacy, and a Learning Technologies Certificate, allowing her to integrate literacy-based strategies into math instruction to support comprehension, problem-solving, and academic language development.

She currently serves as a Math Specialist for grades 6–10 and a Mathematics Adjunct, specializing in supporting students with math anxiety, learning gaps, and exam preparation.

Dena’s approach is intentional and student-centered, emphasizing understanding, confidence, and steady progress. She is also the author of The O.P.T. I.N! Teacher’s Math Manual, which reflects her commitment to purposeful instruction and closing the math gap—one learner at a time.
